Kering Acquires France Croco


Crocodile skin is begging to grow into a popular material in luxury brands. In 2010,LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton gained control of Singapore’s Heng Long International Ltd, providing skins for Fendi, Céline and Louis Vuitton. Now, Women’s Wear Daily reports that an elite producer of tanned skins located in Normandy, France Croco, was recently acquired by Kering, a French luxury and retail group previously known as PPR. With this acquisition, Kering’s goal is to support it’s brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen with France Croco’s top quality skins. The company will invest in the French Croco in the next few month to increase its production capacity.

NEO Capital Purchases a Stake in Valextra SpA


Women’s Wear Daily reported that Valextra SpA, recently announced that NEO Capital, London-based investment firm, has taken a stake in the Italian luxury leather goods company through a capital increase. With this new partnership, Valextra SpA hopes to expand the brand and launch an initial public offering in the future. NEO Capital also invests in companies such as Alain Mikli,Ladurée, Vaurnet, Obikà and Miller Harris.

K-Swiss is Acquired by E. Land World Ltd.


K-Swiss and E.Land World Ltd. has announced that they have signed a merger agreement. The terms of agreement stated that all common stock of California’s K-Swiss will go to E.Land World Ltd. for $4.75 per share, a total value of about $170 million, in cash.
 E. Land World Limited is the largest conglomerate headquartered in South Korea. They not only specializing in fashion and retail but also restaurants, theme parks, hotels and construction businesses. The company offers about 200 brands and operates more than 10,000 stores worldwide.
